Fans pining for the comedy stylings of Tina Fey were delighted this week to hear that Fey would be returning (probably not as an actor) to TV with a Cheers-like comedy set on Fire Island. That, as it turns out, is just Part One of the good news. Part Deux is that there’s a second Tina Fey project coming down the chute, this one about a women’s college that begins accepting men for the first time in its history.
From Deadline:
In a very competitive situation with multiple networks bidding, a multi-camera comedy from 30 Rock co-executive producer Matt Hubbard, creator/co-showrunner Tina Fey and co-showrunner Robert Carlock has landed at Fox with a series commitment. The project is set at a women’s college that, for the first time in its history, begins accepting men.
So, Tina Fey plays the dean, right? I mean, that’s how it has to be. Unless they can get Allison Janney or Joan Cusack.
