Three Runaway Teens Are Probably in Syria Being ISIS Girlfriends Now

Latest

Three teenage girls from the UK have disappeared after boarding a flight to Istanbul last week. One of the missing teenage girls was in communication with Aqsa Mahmood, a 20 year old-woman from Glasgow who traveled to Syria so she could become a ‘jihadi bride’.

Shamima Begum, 15, Kadiza Sultana, 16, and Amira Abase, 15 were seen last week on airport security footage. On Monday, the Telegraph reported that intelligence sources inside Turkey say they the three schoolgirls were seen traveling with a Syrian male companion in a private car and have likely already crossed into Syria.

On February 15th, Begum tweeted to Mahmood:

Mahmood, whose Twitter account is currently suspended, had about 1,500 followers who she would preach the joys of ISIS bridedom to. Like, “Gain true honor by living under the law of Shariah.”

Mahmood has an occasional Tumblr presence. She tumbls under the name Umm Layth to let her readers know that the life of a jihadi bride is pretty sweet and comfy. Here is a description of the ISIS pad in Syria:

Some of the many things include kitchen appliances from fridges, cookers, ovens, microwaves, milkshake machines etc, hoovers and cleaning products, fans and most importantly a house with free electricity and water provided to you due to the Khilafah and no rent included.

The greatest luxury, Mahmood argues, will come in the afterlife from Allah.

The parents of the girls have expressed “incredulity” today that Begum’s public exchange with Mahmood on Twitter did not send up red-flags for the London authorities to get involved, given all their surveillance of the Arab community.

Counter-terrorism officials told the Telegraph that they estimate around 50 British women have left the UK to join ISIS in Syria.
