The White Queen Tackles the War of the Roses From the Ladies Perspectives

The new ten part miniseries from Starz’s dives into Philippa Gregory’s War of the Roses trilogy, historical fiction about the women who ruled — and those who desperately wanted to rule — the medieval British court of the late 1400s.

The show digs into the relationships between Elizabeth Woodville, Margaret Beaufort, and Anne Neville — and there’s plenty to dig into. It’s an incredibly turbulent and bloody period of English history, when claims to the throne were plentiful and allegiances were shaky (at best).
