@Zombie Ms. Skittles: I totally did too. The thumbnail looks like an awkward 13-year-old girl trying to get people to sign a petition to save the naked mole rats, or something.
I always privately appraise another woman’s cleavage in the same way I imagine a male body builder would likewise eye up another body-builder’s pectoral muscles. My female friends comment on my embonpoint so I know I am not alone in doing so.
I love Eve Mendes' look, which surprises me since I typically hate leopard print. However, Studio 54 Schoolgirl is a concept that should not exist but will live in my brain, forever.
I love how Eva Mendes looks, very little makeup, that colour looks gorgeous on her and the headpiece is very cute...BUT the length of the gown is a bit weird, I feel it should be a tad longer.
Margaret Made -- don't know who you are, but we're on the same wavelength. I too wore all white today in a last-ditch pre-Labor day effort to wear my white pants.
@LaComtesse: The cheap Chinese knock-offs have ruined their luster for me. The craft behind them is slowly dying out, and it's a shame, because of the pain-staking attention they put into making them in Venice.
@NefariousNewt a.k.a. General Awesomesauce: Something slowly dying out for me always elicits mixed feelings. As a history person I find it sad but, sociologically, the reasons it was important for us to DO this craft are no longer a concern. I'm ambivalent.
@Maritsa: I worked at a movie theater for two weeks. In that time, we showed Eyes Wide Shut. I've seen the same two scenes of that movie more times than I can count.
@NefariousNewt a.k.a. General Awesomesauce: I bought a beautiful gold and silver painted mask of Columbine (the female character from the commedia dell'arte ) when I went to Venice years ago. It now takes pride of place above my sitting room door. By contrast, the actual masks worn by Venetians in the 18th century carnivals were plain and designed to obscure the identity not flatter the wearer. Once, when short of money and ideas, I bought some young children cheap Chinese face masks. They ended up as the surprise hit of Christmas.
