    This is what I wish all red carpets were like. I know they have tabloids in Germany--maybe they're not so hegemonic?

    Everyone in this list actually expressed themselves with their fashion choices, and why not? They're artists. They all look like they put on something that makes them feel beautiful. I wish I could meet all of these cool women.

    Kate Winslet's dress literally made my jaw drop. That might be my favorite red carpet gown of all time. Wow.

    Not that Shakira has ever been known for a particularly elegant sense of style, but I don't think it bodes well for her that I keep mistaking her for Mariah Carey.

    Kate Winslet, I love this look, even the weird looking sides, maybe because the fit is wonderful. I like it better than her Oscar look she kinda looked matronly. There, I said it!

    There is nothing more fun than dressing up and dancing the night away. If you can't dance like crazy at the Ballet function, then you shouldn't even go.
