    Um. On another note, I just want to say how much I enjoy reading pieces written by Latoya Peterson and I'm sorry she had such a bad time with the other thread. Her perspective is really valuable and interesting to me and I just wanted to say that. Sorry if this isn't the right place.

    @bluebears: I completely missed the first post - its been one of those weeks at work and my eyes are currently glazed over as I stare at yet another goddamn spreadsheet - but when I saw Dodai's followup, I sighed.

    My personal rule that I wish more people would follow is that if the only reaction is to compare it to a personal experience that isn't comparable...don't comment. It's not helpful. I do break that rule sometimes, but I try my best not to.
