Lauren Conrad Finally Admits To How Fake The Hills Is
Lauren Conrad was on The View this morning, and the panelists asked her about Spencer's phoned apology on The Hills. Lauren paused for a moment, then said, "To be perfectly honest, I wasn't on the other end of that call." More » -

Lauren Conrad Victim Of Middle-Aged, Crazed Mommy Fans
It's hard to imagine people being fanatical about Lauren Conrad, the dullest person to ever roll her eyes on reality TV. But she told Conan last night that middle-aged women lose their shit (and babies) when they see her. -

Spencer Becomes A Different Person On The Hills Finale
On last night's season finale of The Hills, Heidi and Spencer tied the knot, but, in the hour leading up to that, he stopped being an asshole and insisted that he had "grown up," thanks to the couples therapy sessions that he and Heidi filmed for the show. More » -

Spencer Apologizes To Lauren For Sex-Tape Rumor

The Weirdest, Scripted Hills Scene Ever

Why In God's Name Was Tom Cruise On The Hills: Aftershow Last Night?
You know, I thought it was kind of a coup that The Hills: Aftershow had Holly Montag on the same day the bomb was dropped that her sister Heidi had eloped with Spencer. What luck that they could get someone so important to discuss this trivial shit! Then last night, for some reason, Tom Cruise was on! The hosts of the show held up a picture of Spencer and had Tom dispense words of advice to a guy that many think has brainwashed his young wife into submission, alienating her from the family she was once close to. Oh the irony! Clip above. -

Are Lauren Conrad's Parents Victims Of The Mortgage Crisis?
On last night's episode of The Hills, Lauren went back to her hometown of Laguna Beach (where it all started!) to help her parents pack up their McMansion and move. They only built that home a few years ago, as it was a storyline on one of the later seasons of Laguna Beach. Lauren's parents say that they have no need for a bigger home because they only have one child still living with them, but if someone were to downsize for the purpose of downsizing, wouldn't they wait for the market to pick up a bit before doing it? 84-Year-Old Woman Dragged Into Heidi & Spencer Drama On The Hills
On last night's episode of The Hills, Spencer somehow managed to nab a guest appearance for his Nana. Apparently, Spencer is Nana's favorite grandchild, and he loves to rub this in Stephanie's face, so Stephanie had a meeting with Nana and talked about how much of a dick her brother is. According to what Spencer said on The Hills: Aftershow, Nana watches The Hills every week, so she obviously must know how much of a dick he is, and likes it. Oh, and Spencer also said that his Mexican wedding with Heidi was filmed as part of The Hills, and will definitely work its way into the show. Clip above. -

The Hills: Lauren Conrad Maybe Hooked Up With JustinBobby
So that rumor about how Lauren supposedly hooked up with JustinBobby behind Audrina's back finally made it onto the show. Lauren denies it and is now mad at Audrina for even asking her about it, as is JustinBobby, who said that the whole thing was "immature, dude" and got up and walked away after avoiding Audrina's calls and texts for days. For people who say they didn't do anything wrong, their reactions are pretty strong. Apparently, the whole thing started when someone named Dino — who is never seen on the show, but mentioned several times — told Audrina "in detail" about the alleged hookup. (Dino is totally to The Hills what Tino was to My So-Called LIfe.") Tearful confrontation clip above. -

The Hills: Lauren Pretends To Be A Supportive Friend To Audrina
On last night's episode of The Hills, Audrina and Lauren went out for a drink together for the first time since Audrina moved out. You'd think any roommate tension that used to be between them would have dissipated, but there was still some weirdness in the air when Audrina spoke about boyfriend JustinBobby and the changes he's going through. (He's so over the L.A. club scene.) What do you think is going on behind Lauren's sun-damaged eyes? Are there any truth to the rumors that she's into JB and they've hooked up? It would be pretty outlandish, since she's such a severe territory marker, and doesn't permit her friends to even look at a guy she's Frenched. -

The Hills: Now It's Whitney's Turn To Be The Ingenue
Just like Diff'rent Strokes/The Facts of Life, Golden Girls/Empty Nest, and Growing Pains/Just the 10 of Us, before it, The Hills focused last night's episode around planting the seed for Whitney Port's spin-off The City. The girls went to New York to help Kelly Cutrone with some men's fashion shows, which required Lauren to play sidekick to Whitney, who spent her time being wooed by male models and a dude in a band. Don't you kinda wish MTV could so handsomely cast your reality for you? Clip above. -

Heidi Montag Gets Fake Fired From Her Fake Job
We thought that Heidi was through with her fake job at Bolthouse when, at the end of last season, Spencer showed up in Las Vegas to pretend to sweep her off her feet and take her back to L.A. So we were confused when she showed up back in the office this season, where Spencer would pretend to interrupt her during her fake work day to complain about things and sulk in his car. On last night's episode of The Hills, Heidi pretended to get wasted at an event, and then her boss Brent pretended to care about it, and then pretended to fire her. In the clip above, watch how she doesn't even have to clean out her desk or office, because nothing's there. -

Audrina & JustinBobby: The Least Compelling Love Story Of The Century
On last night's episode of The Hills, JustinBobby showed up at Audrina's fake job — she was in the recording studio with Brandy, whose career must be in dire straights if she's hittin' up The Hills for publicity — to tell her that he wants to "be with" her. Notice that he doesn't say anything about exclusivity, which is what Audrina had been holding out for. So anyway, his stupid, transparent tactic (he only wants to "be with" her because she was off "being with" someone else) worked, and now they're back together…for now. We wonder if the whole Lauren-Frenches-JustinBobby scandal will be featured on the show somehow. Clip above. -

The Hills: JustinBobby Took Audrina's Flower
On last night's episode of The Hills, the gang — meaning, the people paid to hang out with one another in beautiful locations scouted by the producers — went to Cabo for Brody's birthday. Even though JustinBobby isn't really dating/screwing around on Audrina anymore, he still got to go. Once he found out that she's seeing someone else, he got hurt, decided to be a baby and tease her for the entire trip. The first night, he stole that stupid Claire's flower ponytail holder she was wearing and refused to give it back for the rest of the trip. In the scenes from next week, we see that this tactic may have worked, and Audrina takes him back, proving once again that JustinBobby is at once both a moron and a pussy wizard. Clip above. -

The Hills: Spencer Pratt Continues His "War" On The Montag Family
We weren't really all that interested in the Spencer/Heidi storyline over the last few seasons of The Hills, because it was all so obviously false. They weren't broken up because we always saw them together in tabloids or on TMZ. Heidi spending too many hours at her job wasn't an issue for the couple because she doesn't actually have a job (other than staring in homemade music videos). However, the tension this season between Spencer and Heidi's family seems fairly real, only because we can't imagine that Heidi's mom would be able to fake the obvious despair she's feeling over how much Spencer seems to control her daughter. We imagine that after watching scenes, like in the clip above from last night's episode, the Montag family must hate him more than ever. -

Spencer Continues To Be A Complete Asshole To Heidi's Family
How long have we been watching Spencer Pratt behave like a giant douchebag? Two years or something? He still seems to out-asshole himself with every television or magazine interview and on every episode of The Hills. Last week, we saw him be incredibly, unbelievably rude and disrespectful to Heidi's mom, and on last night's episode, he was the same way — if not worse — to Heidi's sister Holly. Heidi's family obviously doesn't like Spencer, and with good reason, so Holly is trying to get Heidi and Lauren to be friends again, because she thinks it's her only option for getting this dick out of her sister's life for good. Clip above. -

The Hills: Spencer Is So Much More Of A Dick Than We Originally Thought
On last night's episode of The Hills, Heidi's mom came to visit her daughters. (Holly, Heidi's sister, has been staying with her and Spencer.) Heidi's mom had no idea that Heidi had allowed Spencer to move back in with her, and she was upset about it, so she decided it would be a good idea to have lunch with him to try to get to know him better. And he certainly showed his true colors, acting like a pompous, condescending asshole. You know that Heidi's mom isn't playing along for the drama of the show; she's genuinely upset that her daughter is dating this tool. Clip above. -

Stephanie Pratt Can't Be Trusted With "Sloppy Seconds"
On last night's episode of The Hills, Lauren went on a mysterious vacation to Italy where cameras did not follow her, and Audrina and Lo were left to deal with the lack of dialogue and meaningful looks all by themselves. The most interesting thing that happened was that Stephanie Pratt went on a date with that boring guy that Lauren used to go out with, Doug, who is kind of the human equivalent of khakis (i.e. plain and boring). On their date — which was supposed to be a secret from Lauren, since she bugs out about people "betraying" her — the couple ran into Brody Jenner's mom Linda, a walking, talking, nosy bag of Restylane. The Hills: Are All The Conversations In SoCal This Captivating?
Things are all harmonious right now on The Hills — Lauren and Audrina are making an effort to be better friends, and Lo is making an effort to be less of a bitch — which means that last night's episode was more boring than usual. Audrina was in (fake) charge of some big deal Epic records showcase, which was probably planned specifically for this episode, and dramz was that JustinBobby didn't show up for the event. God, you know a show is lame when the subplot revolves around something that didn't happen. Anyway, the girls all went to the after party and Stephanie Pratt, Spencer's little sister, got into mind-numbing conversation with one of the guys from the band about piercings and tattoos. Kids today! Clip above. -

The Hills: These Mascara Tears Dry On Their Own
Lucky us, we got two new episodes of The Hills this week. Last night's ep was the big, tearful talk between Audrina and Lauren about their disintegrating friendship which may or may not be caused by Lo. Much like everything else with this show, a lot of things between the girls go unsaid, which causes confusion and hard feelings. Good to see that the audience isn't alone on that. Actually, even though this scene was like four minutes long — which is epic for The Hills — I'm still not exactly sure I know why they were fighting to begin with, or if they even made up. Clip above. -

Spencer Fake Interrupts Heidi's Fake Work Day
The weirdest thing about The Hills is that it's never acknowledged that the people on it are actual celebrities now, and that they don't have normal lives with jobs, because their jobs are to appear on The Hills and the covers of magazines. We thought that they finally stopped bothering with the ruse of Heidi working at her fake job at Bolthouse PR when she fake quit at the end of last season but apparently she still has an office there, where she sits and doodles for the camera. In the clip above, Spencer interrupts her "work day" by showing up to complain about Heidi's sister, who has been crashing with the couple. While the entire scenario is completely contrived, we have a feeling that Spencer's gripe — about Heidi's sister erasing his Tivo shows — is probably true. -

Kelly Cutrone On The Hills: "This Is Called Multi-tasking In The Power Bitch World"
This week on The Hills, nothing exciting happened and no interesting dialogue was exchanged. (Shocker, we know.) Since the introduction of Lauren and Whitney "working" at fashion PR firm People's Revolution, we feel like owner Kelly Cutrone has not been utilized nearly enough. We figured she'd play a much bigger role this season and offer up a lot of good TV, but so far, all we've seen are Audrina's giant teeth, Spencer's facial pubes, and way too much of Stephanie Pratt. But on last night's episode, we got us some Kelly, and she said far more interesting things in those two minutes and 16 seconds than Lauren has this entire season. Clip above. More » -

The Hills Kelly Cutrone: "In Christianity, Mary Gets Pregnant On Her Own, She Doesn’t Even Get F*cked.â€
In this morning's rag trade, we mentioned (briefly) the awesomeness that is this profile of Kelly Cutrone, the self-proclaimed PR "power bitch" and boss of Whitney on The Hills, but we felt we would be remiss in not discussing it further. Before we get to the choice quotes that Cutrone, the owner of People's Revolution, proffers after the jump, I just wanted to point out that Kelly herself gets up in the Observer's comment section to quash the haters who accuse her of lying about her age. In response to a commenter who says, "Hasn't Kelly Cutrone been 42 for about 10 years now?" Kelly goes gangsta: "You have left us no choice we are scanning a copy of my driver's license now — maybe it is your lives that are moving too slow." More quality Cutrone quotes, coming right up! Nothing Really Happened On The Hills Season Finale
Last night's season finale of The Hills only served to further prove that the best part about the show are the teasers for upcoming episodes. Aside from all the scripted drama between Heidi and Spencer, nothing really happened on the big season finale. The rest was just par for the course, like Lauren's crocodile tears, and Whitney's weird pronunciation of words ending in "ing." Oh, but Lo did mention something about cheese being bad for her behind, and I could totally relate to that. But still, who isn't psyched for season four, after seeing that preview? Spencer Pratt Is Really That Evil, And Other Sad Truths About The Hills From A Guy Who Went Out With L.C.
Dodai has this whole theory that The Hills is totally like professional wrestling, neither of which I watch but then I googled "WWE" + "fake" and I totally began to understand what she meant! Like, everyone know that it's all totally fake, and yet, like The Hills, its fakeness has totally become its own industry, gazillions thousands of "Is wrestling really fake?" websites, all 108,972 of which can be succinctly summarized: AFFIRMATIVE! So yes, The Hills is fake, and yet we somehow cannot get enough of the stories about how fake it is, which is to say I for some reason salivated over every word of this interview with a model named Gavin who went on a date with L.C. on last week's episode and I really don't even give a shit. And here's the big takeaway: the fakeness is so comprehensive, and the cast members are so young and devoid of meaningful identities to suppress, that the fakeness is actually disguised realness. Which is to say the date with L.C. didn't go that well. More »
