I'm trying to wrap my head around a 70-year-plus marriage. That's phenomenal. My grandfather is 97, but he's outlived my grandmother by about six years so far.

On another note, my father will be sadden to hear this. On the Waterfront is his favorite movie.

Good lord, I can just see it now:
Helicopters will follow the body to the coroners; there will be a controversial autopsy; Malden's nurses will be wanted for questioning; there will be a fight over custody for Nancy, Kathy and Prince Karl the Third aka 'Shamwow' (ages 60, 65, and 67 - were they his to begin with?); marathon repeats of Streets of San Francisco on VH1; and speculation if the ever-expanding patches of brown were a rare skin disease known as 'liver spots' or if Malden was abandoning his caucasian heritage for something akin to 'Cherokee'.

He was married in 1938 and his wife has, apparently survived him. NOT a typical Hollywood marriage, obviously.

Sorry to say, Mollie Sugden just died today too. We fans of "Are You Being Served?" will remember her pussy fondly.
