I went to high school with a Lisa that I still talk to, and she is very laid back and friendly. I have an Aunt Lisa who is a complete and total psycho, that I haven;t seen since I was a small child.
My younger sister is a Lisa. She is the most lovely mix of wit, brawn, skills, and creativity....with a tit more unicorn dust than the average bear. #lisa
I love this feature. Names are so different in the US. Lisa isn't particularly common here in the UK and I think of it as such a perky and fun All American name.
The only British Lisa I have ever met was a terrifying and very judgemental almost stereotypical second wave feminist. There was nothing perky and fun about her (but she was very interesting.) #lisa
@Penny: As a self-obsessed Lisa, I know every song with my name in it and this is one of my favorites. See also: Lisa by Prince, Losing Lisa by Ben Folds, O Lisa by Weezer, and of course, Lisa songs by the Simpsons. "Lisa, your teeth are big and green; Lisa, you smell like gasoline," is something I hear way, way too often. #lisa
Lisa makes up the first part of my name, a variant on Elizabeth, so I've always pronounced it "Lih-sa" not "Lee-sa."
I can't think of one Lisa I've ever met, it was really more popular before my time, I guess. I think I give off the ditz vibe when I introduce myself as "Lissie" rather than by my full name. I definitely blame Lizzie McGuire for this. #lisa
@katie.scarlett.o'hara: wow. i'm an a elizabeth and have never met another (ok, i'm assuming here) american elizabeth/elizabeth variant who went by lisa but pronounced lissa. i thought i was the only one.
my step-sister is a real lisa and she totally fits the make-up stereotype. for the majority of her life, her job has been "mrs. dr. successful." i think i would probably get bored with that job within a few weeks, but it has looked pretty fucking good at other times. which makes me think she might be more than mascara and personal shoppers after all. #lisa
@Isoperla: I don't really...I just meant that's how I pronounce the first part of my name! It's just very weird when people pronounce my name "Leesabeth." #lisa
I am Lisa. I am def not perfectly quaffed. if i didn't have naturally good hair, it would never look like anything other than a rat's nest. thanks, genes!
The first Lisa I ever met was my best friend in elementary school. She's forever associated with unicorns and rainbows, but that's because we played with our Rainbow Brite dolls day in and day out. #lisa
I knew a few Lisas in school and they didn't match this description much. They were similar to each other though. All three were pretty, athletic Italian girls who were super friendly but not particularly popular. They had tight groups of girl friends, but didn't date much. They were smart, but not at the top of the class. Just sweet, fun girls that everyone liked.
the lisas that i knew in school were nasty, nasty, nasty snobs who were all smiley one minute and then you'd be taking the knife out of your back the next. no thank you. #lisa

Ah well, not as common a name as Lisa.

Sooo, I'm 50/50 on Lisa's. #lisa

Your perceptions of Lisa were so off.
You thought that she was naive and she thought that she was strong, oh. #lisa

Wait, I know one. She teaches sailing classes and sails her boat to the Carribean for the winter. #lisa
