Dear KFed,

Spending $200-$500 on jeans for your toddler does not make you look rich, it makes you look a little...slow.

There are people in my area that are afflicted with even worse conspicuous consumptionitis than you seem to have. And even they seem aware that any articles of clothing you put on children of a certain age will soon be ingrained with:

Dirt

Sand

Ketchup

Yogurt

Various Bodily Functions

so unless you are making some jeans that come equipped with a chip that will stop my child from climbing out of his crib, running away at the market, throwing food at restaurants and waking up before 7am, I think I will just keep shopping at Target.

I think it's cool that Eliza Dushku wants to use Dollhouse to tell womens' stories, but so far (and granted, it's only been two episodes) her character pretty much gets programmed to be a super-hot adrenaline junkie, then gets whored out to sleep with skeevy men!! It makes me depressed. Here's hoping Joss turns it around with some more creative plotlines.

@sequined: Dude, I certainly hope so. Right now, I m also disheartene that I find NONE of the characters to be charismatic-they all just seem vaguely evil, with the exception of Dushku, who has no personality, and her handler, who also has no personality but seems to care for her.

@megscissorhands: Wow, I didn't respond in the same way as you guys. I like the show a lot and I don't have a problem with how they are handling the storyline so far. It's only been 2 episodes! I think patience is called for.

@Super_Kitten: Me too. I read the post on here complaining about the sex before I saw the first episode and then pondered where it all was. I think most of the characters are supposed to be morally ambiguous, except for the creepy blonde guy who was a real jerk at the end of the second episode. He is so going to get it at some point.

On the Chris Isaak 'n Doggeh Show: I am all about these random new shows featuring famous people I like hanging around and chatting to other famous people I like.

Has anyone seen the Elvis Costello show on Sundance? The one he did where he had Elton "guest host" so Diana Krall could be on was pure gold. And I really like Bill Shatner's Raw Nerve.

I don't care for talk shows, other than the funny bits that Tracie and Dodai post. I have a soft spot for Oprah, but watching more than five minutes of it makes me want to stab myself in the eye with a fork. But these, I like... call me crazy...

Something really bothers me about the use of "beating" in that Daily News hadline. I think it seems to infantilize Rihanna, like she was a naughty child and was beaten. I think "assault" would have been much better. What do you guys think?

@deitybox: I agree as well. To me, the word "beating" implies dominance and some sense of physical superiority, which I don't really think are the best traits to highlight in an abuser. It's more graphic than "assault" and thus would sell more papers, but of course, this is the Daily News.

Chris Isaak has his own talk show, The Chris Isaak Hour, on the Bio channel. It starts tonight! Guests play songs and chat and hang out with Chris's dog.

This is pretty much my goal for life. Can I bring my dog, too? He's friendly!

Katie Holmes may be working on a flick in New York, but she plays "fourth fiddle" behind Kevin Kline, Paul Dano and John C. Reilly. Fox's Roger Friedman calls her movie career "over."

That might be a bit premature. I personally hold the three actors billed above her in high regards. Paul C. Riley is pretty much the king of Awesome.
