    I love it when people are comfortable enough with themselves to make fools of themselves. This is fucking hysterical! Plus, IMHO, it speaks to a man who is awesome in bed. IMHO.


    But, at the risk of going down too serious a road in a discussion of AWESOME FUNNINESS -- won't it be great when the day comes that funny women can do this sort of thing and not get pilloried?

    @musicpup rodstaff: All the 13 yr-olds I teach have those shoes in every neon color of the rainbow. I seriously don't know how their parents afford them, because there are several who own, I swear, at least 10 pairs.

    @musicpup rodstaff: This school is on the other end of the spectrum. Relatively low-income families who don't know what to spend the little money they have on. Not trying to generalize all low-income parents. But for example, one of my students told me last year that their parents were getting a big tax refund so they were buying him a new video game system... yet, every year this kids parents can't afford to buy him school supplies or a winter jacket...


    THIS is an appropriate occasion for a *headdesk*!

    @twinpeaks is not gainfully employed: Your district sounds line mine. We have double digit unemployment around here and the student parking lot has better cars than the staff lot.


    This year there has been a new twist. They (parents) credit card everything while their unemployment from their old factory job runs out, then they literally pick up and move out of state in the middle of the night.
