So for people who complain about B's music, I say get over yourself and cut the girl some slack. I thought Amy Winehouse had one of the best CD's last year---I mean her songs were stunning....but look at her. She is completely coked out and doesn't give a rat's ass about her appearance or performance. She totally wasted her talent on drugs and a no good man. Why, for once, can't we applaud positive role models instead of tearing women who are actually doing something with their lives down.
Is B's music perfect? No. Does she need to be more creative? Yes. Is she overly sexual? Not to me---she is a baby Tina Turner.
So why fling so much hate.

"Sasha Fierce" sounds like a lame Roger Moore-era Bond girl.
All I get from the name "Sasha Fierce" is OMFG, she wants to be thought of as fierce, like a moddle! And she longs to be ambiguously (rather than overtly?) ethnic and/or possibly eastern european!
Why not pick something that actually suggests the owner is sexy, a feminist, clever, intelligent, or at least literary? I'm bored by B's lack of imagination.

So she chose Sasha Fierce. Is this hurting you in some way?

What's it to you?

Sukie is not my real name.
And I have no interest in emulating the woman in the song.
This, the type you are reading is written by me. The same person that would be replying with these words in person if we were sitting at a coffeeshop.
Some of us make no illusions about our selves. It's hard enough nailing down who we are to begin with, let alone create a whole new person.
(I am against saying something anonymously that I would not say in real life, to someone's face.)
That's a lot to say "I don't think it's hypocritical" (I actually do ramble in real life)
And just enough to say - where's my gin?

and, I would like to reiterate that which Suki said in that "this" is me whether on a computer screen, at work or out in public.
If only I had an alter ego who wasn't so misanthropic, un-diplomatic and could easily censor itself. What strides and headway I could make!!!

At least Chris Gaines was radically different from the usual persona. Sasha Fierce and Beyonce are identical (and really, Sasha has the less ridiculous name). If Beyonce really wanted to try something new, she should adopt the name Bei An Shi and sing Beijing opera.

(I know, I know.)

That's debatable.

Also, I totally thought Jessi Ramsey was your real name....

See people, real life identities are boring.
