    You mentioned "Fantastic Mr. Fox", which got me all uber excited, and then I read the article.

    "a mix of live-action and computer animation"

    So really it's more like the torturing existence of the live action and CG "Alvin and the Chipmunks". Shit. And Shawn Levy doesn't exactly have a likable track-record in my book.

    @fuzzylizardkitten: Indeed, Mr. Fox looks promising. Depsite its old-school animation, it still looks like a Wes Anderson movie from its head to its toe. Dahl's family also loves it. #theberenstainbears

    The most important thing that I learned from The Berenstain Bears is that a good way to tell if someone is a bully is if they are wearing one of those hats that look like a crown over a beanie. Avoid those kids. #theberenstainbears

    @formergr: When my sisters and I were in middle and high school our summer break included obsessively watching the stock market and critiquing children's programming. Let's just say in the last 15 years children's programming has gotten so incredibly bad. I think the only thing watchable now is Angelina Ballerina (which I do watch but I only find it on at night) and there are a few things on Discovery Kids. We miss the days of Square One, the Magic School Bus, Bill Nye and Mathnet. My middle sister weeps over the loss of Steve in Blues Clues. #theberenstainbears

    I really hope that the Beren"stain" Bears movie will finally address the elephant in the room: their real name is BerenSTEIN and they changed it because they are ashamed of being Jewish.

    I’m picturing a scene with Papa Bear going through an old sea chest by candlelight; he takes out a yarmulke and places it tentatively on his head. He continues to gently pick up a bundle of black and white photos from the old country and looks through them wistfully as sad violin music plays in the background.

    I hate Hollywood with the fire of a thousand suns. They have ruined almost every great thing from my childhood, including Alvin & the Chipmunks, and the soon coming Smurfs movie. Damn you Hollywood! *shakes fist in indignation* #theberenstainbears
