    This fell flat with me, overall, but I am not a "BCBG Girl," so maybe that's why. A lot of these felt regurgitated from the Preen and Rodarte collections from last spring. And I can't believe the one-shoulder thing is still happening, curious if that trend will carry with other designers.

    @Penny: I can't believe the one-shoulder thing, either. Just say no, kids.
    I agree, though, about it falling flat. As a collection it flows well, but I'm not sure how I'd feel if I saw a piece by itself.

    Lots of pretty here, but I hate those asymmetrical hemlines...reminds me of that sad, sad period of 7th grade where I thought handkerchief hems were just TO DIE and refused to hear otherwise.

    @greengrey: OMG I had just forgotten about Bebe. I remember when JLO was in I got these HORRIFIC baby blue velour pants with a white shirt that both said BEBE...in..rhinestone.

    Love number 10. I would like 13 better if the mesh (???) were a different color. The nude just makes me think of dance recital outfits. I like number 7, the cut is pretty cool.
    The makeup is nice. I like how the makeup/hair is really minimal/not ridiculous.

    Do some of the prints in this remind anyone else of last season's Balenciaga? It's certainly more wearable in this form though.

    @deltabella: Was thinking the same thing -- the prints + the baring of space with the wrapping seems highly influenced by Balenciaga.

    But, if grilled by Michael Kors on the Runway, I bet Max Azria would know that.

    Most are lovely; very feminine without being overtly sexy or overdone. The bad ones sure are bad, though.

    If I could, I'd live in a toga.

    Ruching is a trend that needs to die. I've never seen an instance in which it looked right; it usually just looks bunchy and often ruins a perfectly good piece.

    Ditto to everyone commenting on how stunning that photo is. I love Liukin's grace and confidence, and the way she performs is almost art. I think that's maybe one reason why she won it all-they want poise and grace that comes with a bit of maturity, not just 8-year-old girls tumbling.


    But I saw the ads are only online, so boo. This is better than 90 percent of the crap ads in Vogue nowadays.
