SNL's Favorite Drunk Girl to Host White House Correspondents' Dinner

Cecily Strong, former Weekend Update cohost and famous channeler of the girl you wish you never started a conversation with at a party, will perform at the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.

According to Politico, the choice is partly because of her hometown flair.

“Her political humor is sly and edgy, and it comes with a Chicago accent,” WHCD President Christi Parsons emailed.

Strong’s dad is also a former Associate Press bureau chief for the Illinois Statehouse, so she’s a dyed in the wool political kid. She’ll be the just the fourth woman to serve as the dinner’s “featured entertainer” in 82 years. USA! USA! USA!
