Sean Connery Is NOT Dead, Catherine Zeta Jones Is Just Remembering Him

CelebritiesDirt Bag

While scrolling through your Instagram feed Monday evening, you may have seen a post that led you to assume 87-year-old Sean Connery had just died: a 19-year-old production still from the provocative 1999 crime thriller Entrapment alongside the caption: “Thinking of this amazing man today. Such wonderful memories and friendship. <3"

An old photo of a very old famous person? A melancholy caption? A reference to fond memories? A heart emoji? This is how most people use Instagram when someone they love dies. But if you’re Catherine Zeta Jones, this is how you use Instagram when you’re just thinkin’ about a buddy.

In the comments, a CZJ fan who shared my initial nervousness wrote, “Did something happen?”

CZJ replied, “No just thinking Connery today.”

To celebrate Connery’s life—and his friendship with Jones—watch this video of him giving his former onscreen lover an Oscar for Chicago.

Cool news: actor Emma Watson donated £1 million (which is about $1.4 million) “to the Justice and Equality Fund—a U.K.-based initiative that fights against sexual harassment, assault and discrimination.” Per E! News, the fund drives “personal, social, legal and policy changes that will ensure everyone can feel safe at work, at play and at home.”

Watson shared the news of her big donation on Instagram, writing:

“All of us are responsible for creating change, whatever industry you work in. We’re asking everyone to help create a world we can be proud of—one that is safe, just and equal. Please join us and donate to the new Justice and Equality Fund, which will support frontline organisations that are working to end a culture where harassment and abuse are commonplace,” she wrote. “Together we can spread our message, support the strong people of all genders who are taking such personal risks, and make sure that this is one of those watershed moments in history where things never go back to the way they were before. This is the moment we stand together and say. #TIMESUP.”

Being rich sounds very satisfying.

The man in Blac Chyna’s recently leaked sex tape (her lawyer Lisa Bloom has called it “revenge porn”) has reportedly identified himself, but he claims he is NOT the one who made it public. Per a report by TMZ, her ex-boyfriend Mechie admits he recorded the video, but says he “never had his own copy.”

He is “pissed.”
