Revenge-Porn Asshole Sentenced to 18 Years in Prison

Revenge-porn website operator Kevin Christopher Bollaert was sentenced to 18 years in state prison on Friday. The San Diego man ran the website yougotposted.com, where users and hackers could anonymously post nude photos and personal information of people (read: women) without their consent. Bollaert was convicted in February on 21 counts of identity theft and six counts of extortion.

More than 10,000 images, mainly of women, were posted between December 2012 and September 2013.

People who sought to have the explicit images taken down were directed to changemyreputation.com and charged $250 to $350 to remove the racy content.

Victims included teachers, wives and professionals. The compromising photos cost people jobs, damaged relationships and led to one attempted suicide.

Bollaert earned an average of $900 a month for being such a horrible human being. In addition to the 18-year prison sentence, he was also ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution. The Daily Dot called the sentence “historic” and the “biggest revenge porn conviction to date.”
