Penis-Man and Vagina-Woman Fight for Their Right to Dress as Such

Glastonbury, England is best known outside of Europe these days for its Glastonbury Festival, where important trends started like Kate Moss popularizing Hunter boots and Gwyneth Paltrow using noise-canceling headphones on her child. Before all of that fun, it had a storied history, one that involved King Arthur and a lot of New Age bookstores. The latest tale added to Glastonbury’s lore might not involve a King Arthur-worthy battle, but does feature a man and a woman dressed as a penis and a vagina, respectively, fighting for their right to dress as a penis and a vagina in public.

The Central Somersette Gazette reports that two members of the Nomadic Academy of Fools were in the midst of performing some material from two of their plays entitled Women who Wank and The Penis Monologues. Unfortunately, a man on the street didn’t like their costumes or material, and attacked the penis. Even MORE unfortunately, the cops told the penis and the vagina that they had to remove their penis and vagina (costumes) because they could be upsetting people on the street. The pair were upset because, in the words of the vagina, “We’re trying to highlight the contradiction in society”:

“People were offended by us walking around in costume, but it’s nothing you can’t see in magazines and newspapers that are often displayed in a child’s eye-line. On the whole, the reaction we had was positive from most people.”

The penis and vagina were unharmed by the random man’s attack but they’re not allowed to perform in those costumes in public any longer.
