Paris Hilton Believes Tabloid Rumors About Herself

Last night’s episode of World According to Paris presented an interesting opportunity for the socialite/reality star to comment on how tabloids perpetuate unattainable beauty standards for women after “unflattering” photos of her in a tight outfit led to rumors that she was pregnant. It’s not that we expected particularly deep thoughts out of Paris, especially in regards to women’s issues. But we totally did not expect that her response to the rumors with, “I hope they’re not right.” Instead of getting rightfully pissed off that the media would not allow her weight to fluctuate like any normal person’s without jumping to conclusions about the state of her uterus, she instead worried that they were on to something and bought a home pregnancy test.
