Outraged Fans Want Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel Cast in 50 Shades

An online petition to recast the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie currently has more than 20,000 signatures and counting. In case you haven’t been raptly following the Fifty Shades of Grey casting process (in which case, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?), filmmakers announced this week that Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson have been cast as leads Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. And a vocal contingent of superfans is fucking pissed. Their choice for Christian and Anastasia? Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel, respectively (or—hear me out!—the other way around!!!).

Can’t argue with this, really:

Matt Bomer is the PERFECT DESCRIPTION OF CHRISTIAN GREY AND ALEXIS BLEDEL IS THE PERFECT ACTRESS TO REPRESENT ANASTASIA STEELE and if THEY ARE NOT, NOBODY WILL BE And I read the whole trilogy and I can assure that Matt is the perfect actor for this movie and Alexis too. So please PLEASE, all of the GREYsessed and Bomerettes in the world NEED those actors. They always will be for us the Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. WE CAN DO ANYTHING GUYS, ANYTHING.

I don’t know how much stock Hollywood film producers put in portmanteau-heavy online petitions, however, 20,000 signatures is pretty impressive! If you feel passionate about Bomerettism, you can lend a hand here.
