Non-Social Media Users Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Cover Glamour's 'Social' Issue

Glamour’s January cover features besties and stars of the forthcoming movie Sisters, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. It’s also an issue devoted to “social”—also known as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and all those other platforms the cover stars don’t actually use.

“Join the conversation around the January issue on social media by tagging the Tina to your Amy (and vice-versa) in the comments using the hashtag#costarforlife,” Glamour writes on Instagram. “And, to read the duo’s answers to all the questions YOU asked on social, click the link in our bio.”

Previously, Fey on why she’s not on social platforms: “Why would I give my jokes away for free?” And Poehler: “I try not to read too much online because I always get my feelings hurt, even if someone’s flattering you.”

In the profile, Fey and Poehler answer questions like “What is the life accomplishment you are most proud of and why?” (from Instagram) and “Can you describe what working with your best friend is like?” (from Facebook). Well, they certainly are socializing (with each other). More importantly, social media is very hot right now—if you are a print editor trying to spice up your publication.

Elsewhere inside, there’s an interview with newfound anti-bullying activist Monica Lewinsky, other pieces on internet harassment trolling, and the cover of the issue promises “Digital royalty” like Gigi Hadid (previously named a “Social media model” by W and praised by AdWeek for the same), Rita Ora, and “the top earning female YouTuber” sharing what makes them so successful.
