Meet The Man Who Has Not Taken A Bath In Sixty Years

This is Amou Haji. He is 80 years old, he lives in Southern Iran, and for the last 60 years he has not taken a bath, because he believes”cleanliness brings him sickness,” according to the Tehran Times.

He lives a nomadic life, smokes a pipe filled with animal feces and says his favorite meal is dead porcupine:

Not to our surprise, when we searched the reason behind Amou Haji’s way
of life, we found out that he had gone through some emotional setbacks
in his youth and from then on decided to live an isolated life.

According to the article in the Tehran Times, the previous record for not taking a bath or showering was held by Kailash Singh, a 66-year-old Indian man who had not taken a bath in 38 years.
