You know the “Cool” scene in West Side Story? The one where the Jets are all about to pop off in anger, but Ice advises them to “keep it cooly cool, boy?” I’ve been feeling like I am in that scene ALL DAY, mostly because this government shutdown is so crazy and infuriating, but also because I channel my anger through DANCE.
Since dance is not quite cathartic enough in this situation (I know, I can’t believe I’m saying it either), it’s probably also helpful to watch this clip from last night’s Daily Show where Stew Beef puts the GOP on blast. It’s amazing. It’s cathartic. It’s cool, boy. Reeeeeal cool.
