Jesse Eisenberg, Victim of the Press, Compares ComicCon to Genocide

Jesse Eisenberg—an adult man who gets paid millions of dollars to put on funny costumes, pretend to be someone else, and occasionally talk about it in front of fans—did not have a good time promoting Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice at ComicCon.

“It is like being screamed at by thousands of people,” he told a reporter on the red carpet for the David Foster Wallace-focused film, The End of the Tour. “I don’t know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide. I can’t think of anything that’s equivalent.”

Hmmm. There are actually a lot of other things that compare with ComicCon throughout history that aren’t genocide, but, for some reason, that’s the one Eisenberg went with. Okay! We don’t know the inside of his mind so who knows? Maybe to him, a dumb fan festival really is as bad as mass murder and ethnic cleansing.

Eisenberg, who’s playing David Lipsky in The End of the Tour, also had some thoughts on playing a journalist:

“Yes I have never been on the other side, on your side of journalism. I have normally been the victim..I interviewed [Lipsky]. He taught me how to interview and what his process is like and now I understand the pariahs that you guys are.”

Yes, life is incredibly hard for all of us.

Nick Gordon has been served with a $10 million lawsuit that accuses him of physically abusing his girlfriend, Bobbi Kristina Brown, and stealing from her after she became comatose.

“On the day of her tragic bathtub incident, Brown had made plans to meet up with someone to whom she’d previously confided that Gordon was ‘not the man she thought he was,’” reports the New York Daily News.

Instead, on that morning, Bobbi Kristina and Gordon got in an explosive argument at her Georgia home, the lawsuit claimed.
“The loud argument ended and Brown was later found unresponsive and unconscious, face down in a bathtub, with her mouth swollen and another tooth knocked out,” said the complaint, which was filed by Brown’s court-appointed conservator Bedelia Hargrove.
After Brown was hospitalized and placed in a medically induced coma, Gordon accessed her bank account and stole more than $11,000, the suit said.

Throughout Brown’s treatment, Gordon has been denied visitor’s access to her hospital room and hospice care center. This is a story that never gets less awful. [NYDN]

People is reporting that One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson is having a baby with L.A. stylist Briana Jungwirth, but there are certain members of the One Direction/Jezebel community who are highly dubious of the report.

True or not, congratulations to the happy couple. Either they’re having a baby and are excited about it or they’re not having a baby and Jungwirth avoids being tied to the worst member of One Direction for the rest of her life. [People]
