After the huge ratings success of Lifetime's adaptation of V.C. Andrews' Flowers in the Attic (its most-watched original movies in years), the network quickly ordered up an adaptation of the gothic novel's sequel Petals on the Wind.

At its core, Petals on the Wind is a story about family—whether its killing blood relatives or having passionate sex with them. It premieres on Memorial Day, which should surely test the limits of how well one can keep down a stomach full of BBQ through the excitement of Heather Graham chewing up the scenery around Ellen Burstyn in a bald cap.
