Human Trainwreck Mark Sanford Defeats Elizabeth Colbert Busch :(

In blargedy blarg political news of the day, Elizabeth Colbert Busch lost the race for South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District seat to Mark “charming” Sanford, a man most famous for having a mistress, and who was recently accused of trespassing on his ex-wife’s property. Yay! Not!

According to HuffPo, the final numbers are 54.3 percent for Sanford, 45.2 percent for Colbert Busch. It was a tight race, but ultimately, going hard for progressive social programs and being openly in favor of same-sex marriage probably didn’t win friends in a district notoriously crawling with Republicans.
