Here's That First-Ever Ad for Sex You Were Asking For

How do you like to do sex? Is it in a classy way, or a dirty way or a kind of intense way? Does the image of a pencil being sharpened to a fine by an electric machine made to strip away bits of wood accurately describe the beautiful meeting of phallus to orifice? The first-ever ad for sex says YES! Or BZZZZZZZZ, I guess. (Kind of NSFW)

Made by Matus the First, a Slovak artist, this ad isn’t meant to sell anything. Not even pencil sharpeners. Or pencils. It’s just meant to showcase that sex exists and that you might want to be having it. Because without it, you may have never known that sex actually existed. This ad is the reason that people will remember to have sex and continue having babies. This ad is the reason the world is overpopulated. This ad, actually, is really pretty but also very ridiculous.

According to AdWeek, the commercial is also meant to remind the general population that a) sex is awesome and everyone has it and b) to keep it spicy in the bedroom. The pencil sharpener, if you haven’t gathered by now, is a metaphor. (But like a good one, not the kind you wrote in tenth grade, except totally like the one you wrote in tenth grade.)

Matus the First said this to The Mirror:

“When sex becomes a routine it is necessary to change something. Therefore this is not a product commercial, because you can’t buy a solution to some things. … I felt though that in some cases it might be important for people to change something in their minds, and this commercial is not only about sex but also about thinking.”

But also please don’t put any dicks into a pencil sharpener, because that’s going to hurt.

The commercial will not be airing on television.
