Photographer Tyler Shields is known for his weird stunts—last year he set a Birkin bag on fire. His latest project involves feeding a $100,000 crocodile Birkin bag to an alligator.

The Huffington Post has everything you'd want to know about a photo shoot that involved an alligator eating an expensive purse. Oh yeah, there was an actress involved too, for good measure I guess.

Shields photographs the alligator biting into the crocodile purse while actress Ana Mulvoy-Ten feeds the animal the bag. In later shots, she even goes in for a bite herself, prompting Shields to tells Daily Mail that he and the model were "inches from death at any moment." The Hermes Birkin bag, which apparently took Shields seven months to obtain, is worth $100,000 and now completely covered in gator bites.

The only proper response I can offer to this story is through the fine acting work of Nicolas Cage.

Hey, that gives me an idea. You know what would be really cool? Feeding a $100,000 Birkin bag to Nicolas Cage. Now that would be art.
