Hello Ladies Takes Your Favorite Phrase and Makes a Show of It

The first teaser trailer for HBO’s new show Hello Ladies has been released (also some more Jon Hamm, for those who like that sort of thing) and even from just 21 seconds it looks promising.

Deadline reports that the show was co-written by the guys who brought you both the British and American versions of The Office, Stephen Merchant, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, and stars Merchant (he’s the tall gangly one in the clip above). The show description, via IMDB, is: “A gawky Englishman comes to Los Angeles to find the woman of his dreams.” Hijincks/awkwardness ensues. It premieres September 29 and hopefully will feature more women than just those grappling with unwanted jokes about abortion in bars.
