Gwyneth Had to Shave Her Pubes Moments Before Wearing That Dress

As you may recall, Gwyneth Paltrow attended the Iron Man 3 premiere on Wednesday night wearing a revealing Antonio Berardi gown constructed with sheer panels. Today on Ellen, Our Lady of Goop reveals that she had to prune her ladygarden before she hit the red carpet.

Ellen: “I think there are questions here, and the question is—”

Gwyneth: “Why is your ass hanging out?”

Then she explained:

“I was doing a show and I changed there, and I went and I couldn’t wear underwear. I don’t think I can tell this story on TV. Well, let’s just say everyone went scrambling for a razor and so I went from being the most beautiful to the most humiliated in one day. “

Ms. Paltrow, who once said the J Sisters Brazilian wax “changed her life,” joked with Ellen that she “works a Seventies vibe.” Ha! Retrobush.

Gwyneth also discussed her reaction to being named People magazine’s World’s Most Beautiful:

“My name wasn’t on [the email]. …I was like, ‘Oh, this is not for me.’ And it was actually psychologically interesting because for a minute I really thought that someone was playing a joke on me. I talked about it with my shrink.”
