George Zimmerman Found Not Guilty In Shooting Death of Trayvon Martin

After hours of deliberation and a last-minute request to clarify the instructions regarding a manslaughter charge, the jury (comprised of six women) has found George Zimmerman not guilty in the death of Trayvon Martin.

Officials in Miami-Dade County, where Martin grew up, have warned residents not to riot against the decision. A local pastor and community leader: “It’s alright to be vocal, but not to be violent. We’ve already lost one soul, and we don’t want to lose any more.”
