A company in Bogota, Colombia is producing bulletproof kid’s clothing. You know, to work in tandem with all the armed guards on campuses and metal detectors that currently prevent school shootings. Oh, wait…

This could only be more depressing if the bulletproof backpacks, t-shirts, and puffer vests were sewn by six-year-old orphans at gun point. Or something. The point is, you’d be hard-pressed to further darken this hellscape.

On the other hand, I suppose it’s time to get practical. If this is the path we’re going down, maybe schools do need bullet proof clothing for children. While we’re at it, let’s have lunch ladies do double duty as snipers and arm PTA members with semi-automatics to monitor recess. Fuuuuck it.
