Bruno Mars' Sisters' Band Is Called 'The Lylas' And Of Course They're Getting a Reality Show

Latest

This is Tiara, Tahiti and Presley Hernandez. They’re Peter Hernandez’s, a.k.a. Bruno Mars’s sisters, and they appear to be angling for the storied position of “Kardashian 2.0.”

OK, they’re not quite as vocationally useless as Kourtney, Khloe and Kim: they, like their brother, are in the music biz. They and their sister Jaime Kailani comprise a band called The LYLAS (“Love You Like A Sister,” although I’d prefer something like “Let You Lick Ass Squid”).

Their first single “Come Back” has 285,000 views on YouTube and sounds 100% AutoTuned. Bruno they ain’t. (My finger just slipped on my keyboard and started the video again and I actually said “No,” out loud.)

MTV News reports that the foursome has gotten an eight-episode deal for a WEtv reality show that will chronicle their musical and personal endeavors as they move from Honolulu to Los Angeles to record their debut album.

“The Lylas are fierce, independent women, leaving their home — and in some cases their relationships and kids — for a chance at pursuing their love of music,” WEtv’s Lauren Gellert said in a statement. “Their story is one filled with all of the drama and chaos that comes from making a major life change, with the added spice of doing it alongside your sisters.”

Okay, so best case scenario, we get The Hills: Next Generation. I can deal with that, I guess? (JK, I’ve absolutely seen every single episode of The Hills.)
