Boyfriend Dresses Up As Girlfriend to Take Her Test, Gets Caught

Latest

Ayan Zhademov’s girlfriend was stressed out about taking an end-of-the-year test. Instead of giving her a nice shoulder rub or making her some calming tea, the 20-year-old Kazakhstan student went beyond normal boyfriend duty and decided to take the examination for his sweetheart—by dressing up and impersonating her. In a plot similar to an ‘80s teen comedy, Zhademov put on a black wig, slapped on some makeup and dressed up in his girlfriend’s clothes before making his way to the Unified National Test, which consists of five subjects that have 25 sections each. The exam must also be completed in three hours. No wonder she was anxious.

When Zhademov got to the test site, administrators became suspicious and questioned him. When he started speaking in a high voice, they realized something was amiss, reports Yahoo UK. “We suspected it might be another woman that had taken the candidate’s place, but we never suspected it was a man that had taken her place. At least not until he started speaking,” said an exam board spokesman. Zhademov was fined 1,400 GBP—or a little over $2100 USD—for his hijinks.

Although his scheme wasn’t successful, Zhademov is being heralded as romantic hero. Student Dariga Nesterova swooned, “Sometimes love leads us to do silly things, I wish my boyfriend was this romantic.” A local businessman who said he was happy to see romance was still alive is even paying half of Zhademov’s fine. As for his unnamed girlfriend, she’ll have to wait until the following year to re-take the test.
