Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter herself has given birth to twins, multiple outlets who’d better not be wrong or else are reporting.
“Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends,” a source told People.
We still don’t know the sex of the newly born babes, though an unidentified random lady was seen hauling a pair of balloons—one for a boy, one for a girl—to UCLA Medical Center yesterday, along with a card that very blatantly said “J + B.” Josh and Brynn? Jeremiah and Bobelessa? I don’t think so.
TMZ reports that the twins are indeed a boy and girl, but also that Bey is being kept in the hospital with a minor, unspecified issue:
Sources connected with the family tell us the twins were born Monday in a Los Angeles hospital. We’re told a “minor issue” surfaced, and as a result ... doctors do not feel comfortable releasing them.
We do not know the nature of the issue.
Meanwhile, Tina Lawson is in...New York?
“God lets things happen in his time not ours! Dont try to rush him!” she wrote.
Is she referring to the twins? Is she referring to something else entirely? If the twins were born Monday, there’s no reason she’d still need to be in L.A. a week later? Unless there were, in fact, complications? So maybe there aren’t and Beyoncé was like, MOTHER PLEASE, GIVE US SOME SPACE?
Here’s a good approach:
Update, 12:07 p.m.: Bey’s dad says they’re here:
The Parks and Rec gang got back together for a selfie, minus a couple of key members. (I like to imagine Nick Offerman is at home making sweet love to his wife, Megan Mullally, atop a wood chipper. Chris Pratt is probably knee-deep in a bowl of cereal.)
I don’t know if this means a series reboot is afoot or what, but it’s cute nonetheless.
