Latest

In Baltimore, the jury, which began deliberations on Monday in the trial of an officer charged with manslaughter and assault in Freddie Gray’s death, announced Tuesday that they were deadlocked on a verdict.

Gray was killed in April during a ride in a police van given by six officers, including Officer William Porter. Porter is the first to go before a jury but all of remaining officers are awaiting their day in court.

On Tuesday, Judge Barry G. Williams, according to NPR, sent the jurors back to continue their deliberations until they reached a decision.
