Apparently People Are Exchanging Sex for McDonald's?

Giving new meaning to the Happy Meal (HAR), a 58-year-old New Mexico man was arrested last week after he paid a sex worker in food from McDonalds. Sorry, all I can think of is Wendy on Breaking Bad.

The man allegedly picked up the woman, drove through Mickey D’s, and then headed to a nearby park where he was arrested after they consumed food/consummated the relationship. Afterwards, the man was arrested, but no word on what happened to the woman.

And this isn’t the first time.

In January of 2012, a Los Angeles woman was arrested on suspicion of prostitution after reportedly opening of number of customers’ doors in the parking lot of a Burbank McDonald’s and offering sexual favors for McNuggets. And last April, a 47-year-old Florida woman was arrested after she informed an undercover detective she’d have sex with him in exchange for two double cheeseburgers selected from the dollar menu, or $2.75 worth of food.

I can’t help but think this must be fairly common, and yet another reason to legalize sex work. Nobody should be arrested for trying to feed themselves, and with some laws in place to protect women and provide fair wages, perhaps trading sex for McNuggets wouldn’t be a regular thing.
