Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin Make Faces

Latest

Anthony Weiner held a press conference that started half an hour late Tuesday evening, in which he said he would not be ending his campaign for Mayor New York, despite news that, as promised, he did correspond with other women in a sexual manner. He was joined by his “very private” wife Huma Abedin, who not only stood beside him but also read a short statement of her own.

“Anthony’s made some horrible mistakes both before he resigned from Congress and after, but I do very strongly believe that that is between us and our marriage,” Abedin said, crediting their ability to stay together in part because of “a whole lot of therapy”:

We discussed all of this before Anthony decided to run for mayor, so really what I want to say is I love him, I have forgiven him, I believe in him, and as we have said from the beginning, we are moving forward.

The beginning of the press conference was a somber affair.

Very somber. Weiner way more out of sorts than his wife, which was funny, given that a. she said she was nervous and b. she has way less practice than her husband explaining herself in front of a crowd.

Hand on the face, classic move.

Reading over your spouse’s shoulder is not appropriate.

Abedin remained was surprisingly upbeat throughout the whole thing.

No word on what the fuck this dude in the cubicle behind them was doing.
