Amy Poehler Joined Seth Meyers For a Sports Misogyny-Themed Really!?!

Latest

Amy Poehler came on Late Night with Seth Meyers last night for a special Women’s World Cup -themed reprisal of their SNL outrage outlet, Really!?!

Recently, Sports Illustrated contributor Andy Benoit decided to tell the world that he is a miserable, raging misogynist:

“I guess I’m not surprised that you work for Sports Illustrated,” responded Poehler. “You guys put out a Swimsuit Issue every year dedicated entirely to women who aren’t in sports. Unless you think it’s a sport to cover both boobs with one arm.”

BOOM. She continued:

“Why is the Women’s World Cup on secondary channels like Fox Sports 1? Nobody gets Fox Sports 1. Come on, networks. You’ll play six hours of pre-Kentucky Derby footage but you can’t broadcast women’s soccer? You think people would rather watch someone talk about hats than watch some badass American bitches take down Colombia?!”

Perfectly stated, Poehler, as always. She leaves us with this poignant thought: “No more tweeting, Benoit. You’re too dumb. In fact, everyone just get off Twitter.”

Really.
