Thousands Show Up at Funeral for Two Little Boys Who Drowned During Hurricane

Latest

One of the saddest stories reported in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy was that of Glenda Moore, the mother whose two sons were literally swept away by flood waters and found drowned. Several reports claimed that Moore asked fellow Staten Island residents for help, only to be turned away. Today, there was a funeral for 2-year-old Brandon Moore and 4-year-old Connor Moore, and according to DNA Info, thousands of people lined the streets outside St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn, and:

The service was packed with hundreds of city sanitation workers, there to support the boys’ dad who was at work for the department when the tragedy happened.

The children were buried side by side in a single white coffin.
