Vegetarian Farms Are Filled Placid Vegetable Animals

A new ad for the vegetarian brand Lightlife reimagines Old Macdonald’s Farm as a Tim Burton-esque setting populated with animals composed of different vegetables, like walking, lowing, pecking jigsaw puzzles of plant matter. The commercial’s vegetable animals are cute the way that Frankenweenie dog is cute, though, if we’re being insufferably literal, I’m not sure it’d be any easier to cudgel a cow made out of bell peppers and red onions than a real cow, especially if they were both mooing plaintively. Also, onion milk sounds very gross, so let’s just all hope vegetable cows’ udders are made of cocoa beans.
