The Disney Channel announced today that Demi Lovato won't be returning to Sonny With A Chance. "It made sense for me to go ahead and leave the show to focus on my music," Lovato says. "It's kind of sad for me that a chapter of my life has ended but there couldn't be a better time for me to move on." She adds, "I don't think going back to Sonny would be healthy for my recovery ... being in front of a camera would make me nervous." [People]
In a 20/20 interview, Lovato says she feels "horrible" about attacking her back up dancer and discusses her treatment for cutting, bulimia, and other emotional issues. She says she started cutting at 11 as, "A way of expressing my own shame, of myself, on my own body." She adds, "I was matching the inside to the outside. And there were some times where my emotions were just so built up, I didn't know what to do. The only way that I could get instant gratification was through an immediate release on myself." [TMZ]

Well, I had said, 'I don't eat bags of Doritos and cheeseburgers like I used to,' but the writer ended the quote at, 'I don't eat.' That's irresponsible reporting.
