Life Expectancy Hits Record High, So Plan Accordingly

If you were hoping to live fast and die young, we have bad news. According to new government data, a baby born in 2009 can expect to live to an average of 78.2 years, which is a new high. Between 2008 and 2009, death rates declined for 10 of the 15 leading causes of death, including heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and even homicides and accidents. Looks like you may need that retirement fund after all.
