As you may have noticed, food prices are climbing, and experts say it’s only going to get worse. Food prices at the wholesale level rose 3.9% last month, the biggest jump since November 1974. Cold weather drove up the price of fruit and vegetables, including animal feed, which increased the cost of meat and dairy products. The cost of items like wheat, corn, and coffee are on the rise around the world, so it may be time to start stockpiling Hot Pockets (and booze, of course) to get through the lean times.
