Facebook Axes "Breakup Notifier" App

Yesterday Facebook disabled an app that sent users email whenever their friends changed their relationship status. The company said it removed the app as part of an automatic system to protect users against spam — but they may also have taken into account its general creepiness. Now you have to go back to stalking people the old-fashioned way, by repeatedly clicking on their pages while drinking and crying.
