If the babe of the year and the sexiest man alive can't make it, what hope is there for the rest of us?

This is a straightforward scientific issue of an Excess of Hot. There can only be a certain statistical safe level of shared Hot in a relationship for reliable equilibrium.
Exceeding this safe level from both sides of the relationship causes the relationship to overheat at the core. While the first signs of this overheating - attraction, merging and fusion - may look positive from the outside, the long-term effects of double-sided Hot are overheated expectations, a brief cooling, followed by an unexpected and often spectacular flame-out, effectively ending the relationship.
Thus, it is better for exceedingly Hot individuals to balance out the overall Hot level of their relationship with appropriate and perhaps temporary partners, or alternately, to spread the Hot around to a variety of different partners. This reduces the danger of fiery flame-out for all concerned.
