While The Fault in Our Stars trailer is uplifting, it might make you cry. Based on the YA novel by John Green, the story involves a young girl, played by Shailene Woodley, who has been diagnosed with cancer. She meets a young boy whose cancer is in remission, played by Ansel Elgort. The girl tries to keep her emotional distance but the boy is head over heels for her and gently loves her until she can't help but fall in love with him, too. Then our tears begin to fall. The end.
I'm a big fan of John Green (and his brother Hank), so I preordered the book to get it signed by John and read it immediately.
I ugly-cried through nearly the whole book. Sniffles at first and then great heaving sobs at the end. It was an INCREDIBLE book and it tore me emotionally to shreds. I can barely think about it without becoming a puddle of tears and snot and feels. I felt like I had been emotionally hit by a truck.
Definitely an incredible novel. Everyone should check it out, though it should be sold with a box of tissues. And, as they say in my hometown, DFTBA.
