In the grand scale of totally-entertaining-but-ultimately-meaningless Hollywood awards, the Golden Globes are without question the most entertaining and the most meaningless (Hollywood Foreign Press who wha?). Because the Globes honor both movies and television, you're getting the most star-packed red carpet and the highest-possible celebrity wattage in a single room. And the ceremony takes place over dinner, so it's a little boozy and more social than, say, the Oscars. Rich and gorgeous people, sparkly dresses, alcohol, and live cameras — it's magic.
So who's on this year's guest list? Drumroll, please.
