You Will Never Be Able to Cuddle With the Steve Jobs Doll

After introducing a much-anticipated 12-inch Steve Jobs doll, the company that designed it has said it will not to sell the figurine after all. Bummer. It looked awesome and even had the black turtleneck and could hold onto a tiny apple! The company, In Icons, had originally said that they'd bring the doll to market no matter what Apple did to try to stop them, but they've now relented and issued this statement about the decision:

Though we still believe that we have not overstepped any legal boundaries, we have decided to completely stop the offer, production and sale of the Steve Jobs figurine out of our heartfelt sensitivity to the feelings of the Jobs family.

Seems wise, as Apple is not one of those companies you probably want to have on your bad side. But this is very sad news, indeed, for those of us who were looking forward to time spent cuddling in bed with tiny, very realistic-looking Steve Jobs. Now we'll be reduced to pulling up an image of him on our iPads and quietly beseeching his static face to tell us his secrets. "Why am I such a loser, Steve? Tell me, what do I need to do to be like you," we'll whisper as we paw at his static face, zooming in and out on his piercing eyes, desperately searching for answers.

That picture made him look so real in the face, I didn't realize it was a doll. I'm glad it's not going to sell...creepy!
