We were slightly freaked out to hear about the hidden meaning in 17-year-old rapper Soulja Boy's "Crank That (Soulja Boy)," the modern day "Electric Slide", which has been the #1 song on Billboard's Hot 100 for the past five weeks, and is a big hit on Radio Disney. Turns out the lyric "Then Superman that ho" is a reference to a certain sex act, in which a guy jerks off on a girl's back, then purposefully doesn't wipe it off (even if she asks) so that when she lays back down the sheet will stick to her like a cape. Hi, J'belles, I'm a lurker finally ready to unlurk here. This is a really cool place to expand my circle of very hip, intelligent, and totally modern women!
(Of which I'm one, sorta: I'm a 'muture' single gal, IQ enabled & Modernly challenged by choice.)
Also mother of a VERY smart uber-hip 20 yr old son, who keeps me looped in on what's hot/what's not in our shining Youth of America's e-books, i-pods & blackberrys. This seems sorta not, you know?
L'il Soulja Boy is 17; nuff said? Of course he's facisnated by wads of cash, expensive tech-toys, and teenagey dirty jokes.. he's a teenager! All I can say, is if you are parental types, educate your daughters to this sorta silliness, and fondly tolerate your sons' idiocies as they hopefully mature past them.
(Remember, it's going to be a BLAST telling your grandkids just how dumb their own dads were once!)
